Not really a hotel! A strange, pretentious restaurant with rooms in outbuildings across a courtyard, motel-style. Awful experience. |

The food here is some of the best in the country, and that's what you should come here for. It's sensational, combining creativity and quality of the highest order. The hotel is small and personal, without heavy 'corporate' hotel trappings. It's not in the centre of town, it's out on the edge. Don't expect a million cable tv channels, or a big flashy gym, but do expect to be able to talk to the proprietors about just how you want your stay to be, and to a simply relaxed and comfortable stay. |

This hotel is not suitable for the single business traveller in my opinion. Be careful of being asked whether you may want breakfast in the morning - it was not made clear to me that this was a booking and had to be cancelled. Therefore I was charged £15.00 for a breakfast that I did not want / did not have time to eat. (The owner of the hotel cited that she had had to get staff in ) There was no room service either and the place is unattended after hours. On the plus side the rooms are very pleasant - though the location a little dubious. |

I would highly recommend the restaurant at hotel sat bains. The food was outstanding and well deserves its star. The atmosphere was friendly yet sophisticated and would be great for either business or pleasure. |
