The hotel had just been decorated and the smell of varish in the bar was really bad. This was not helped by the HEAT: both my husband and myself found the hotel rooms uncomfortably hot, we had to open the bedroom windows and turn off the radiators - my husband is usually really cold! We were disapointed with the food ;I had pork loin and it was tough and very fatty. I am sure the chips were cooked in beef fat. The cooked breakfast was very poor, the eggs after a good 15 minute wait were hard other wise the buffet part was good. The hotel itself has been redecortated very nicely and the bedroom was clean and the bedding fresh. The staff were friendly but rather slow. I would stay again but not eat in the restaurant. |

A very nice room and the staff were helpful and friendly. The restuarant however lacked atmosphere and was very quiet. The tables were very close together and this therefore made private conversation difficult.some background music may help. Food was good and the service excellent. |
