Directions to Thistle Birmingham City
From M6 junction 6, follow A38(M) signs to city centre and South, do not take the exit to the left. Go over flyover, stay in left hand lane. Exit left "Jewellery Quarter, West Bromwich A41". The hotel is situated 200 yards on left immediately after flyover, just after Whiltail Street. There is a NCP car park connected to the hotel. New Street Rail Station is approximately 10 minutes walk from the hotel. To reach the hotel turn left out of the station along New Street, turn right up Colmore Row and then left towards St. Chads at the roundabout. When you reach St. Chads Circus turn right onto Queensway and the hotel is on the right.

There was no hot water in the evening or the morning and I couldn't get hold of room service so could not order food |

Just a short hop into the middle of town, very convenient. Although I had air-con in my room (very necessary during summer) some of my colleagues did not (we were all on the same room rate). It appears only Floors 4 and 6 have air-con so ask for these floors if air-con is important to you. If you're in a hurry, the stairs are handy since the lifts seem to take forever during normal waking hours. |
