Excellent hotel, rooms very spacious, breakfast was very good.

Easy access to hotel-No. 46 bus from airport. Blue airport bus from outside Plaza Hotel at Pl. Espanya runs every 6 mins to return. Hotel food seemed expensive. During stay - mid Sept 08 - the piano bar and lounges were empty. Missed availability of music in room. Missed having contact with other guests. Only CNN, Sky News and BBC 24 hr News in English. Tourist buses excellent. Metro and trains very cheap & easy to use, but Do be aware of pickpockets! Buy multiple use tickets for use on metro (& buses) - 10 trips for 7.20 Eur. Good central location - local bars for food were good.

It is a lovely hotel, very clean and spacious rooms specially when you travel with kids. it is a family friendly hotel with a lovely swimming pool and a gym which is free for guests. It is in a great location near the palace and easy access to Ramblas by Metro.
We enjoyed our stay and if we ever go back to Barcelona again we would definetely stay at this hotel.

We ( a family of 4) arrived at the hotel following a 30 minute walk from the ferry terminus, near to the Columbus statue. With a map, it was easy to find. Without one, it might be tricky as it is tucked away off the main Parrel.Lel road.
Feeling hot and tired after a long journey, we were really delighted when we walked into the hotel lobby. It is huge, open and very welcoming. We didn't fancy an early start the next day and were pleased that checkout was noon.
We stayed for just one night. The room was huge as were the two Queen-size beds. There was a sofa and plenty of space. The bathroom consisted of a sink and a separate spacious shower as well as a toilet and bidet, again both in seperated spaces, with doors, within the bathroom. I cannot recall if there was a bath too.
We made use of the tv - included BBC World News, Sky News and CNN. We also made use of the minibar which was well-stocked and predictably expensive! The rest of the family used the pool - we didn't know there was one beforehand. The pool water was not very clear and the pool was quite small.
There was 24 hour rom service and at least one restaurant. There was a cocktail / piano bar and a restaurant in the process of refurbuishment. The staff were friendly and helpful.
