The hotel is very nicely located in the middle of peaceful countryside. The building is impressive and the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. The place has a great atmosphere, and staff were very friendly. I stayed only one night and didn't have dinner in the hotel, so I can't comment on the food.

Can imagine this place is crazy busy on the weekend - but midweek - it was an absolute oasis of peace and comfort. The clean air, and quietness - meant a a very good relaxed and refreshing sleep !!

Food was good but a bit pricey. Service was very good and friendly. Couldn't fault the hotel for that "personal touch". From the receptionist to the cleaner, everyone was very friendly.
The room left a bit to be desired. We stayed in the Merlin room - beautiful views of the gardens but the room could do with some redecoration. Another couple of years and I could see the window falling out !!
We only stayed the one night for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. Yes we would stay again but would probably ask for a different room.
