Decidedly average hotel. We weren't really expecting anything too special and chose the Ramada because of it's location (close to the Brighton Centre).
As a LateRooms customer we were given a room at the back of the hotel (this has happened every time). However, we were not too bothered about the view of an old freezer or that the TV switched off after 5 minutes, as we intended only to rest our heads following a concert.
Unfortunately, we were woken very early as deliveries were made and barrels unloaded right outside our window.
The hotel was not busy (it was a Wed night) and we booked only the day before. If better rooms are available, I don't see why hotels do not assign these even if bookings are at a discount. This would surely encourage return business.
I would have been very upset to have paid full price for this room anyway (apparently £180 for a double).

the hotel looked very nice from the outside and in the reception as well.
as we walked through one of the corridors it was very plain and boring no colour at all.
our room was nice, but it had very noisy floorboards!
the bed was comfy we both slept well, the bathroom was very nice but the toilet was difficult to flush with the weird handle.
we didnt like the thought of paying for television, but the room was warm and had nice funiture.

Great hotel right on the prom. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We were aware that parking in Brighton is a nightmare so we were prepared to pay the £15 a night to use the hotel car park.
Great value for money through Laterooms, would definitely stay again.

Great location on the sea front. Staff efficient & polite. Our room was a disappointment - small and beds too soft. Everything else was adequate - but not more than that. We will try other hotels before returning here again.
