This was a desperate last minute booking when all other hotels in York were full. What a find! Small Best Western hotel, room was large and beautifully decorated, breakfast was excellant with very friendly service. Our only difficulty was the directions from the ring road were rather vague. It was also a good 1/2 hour walk into the middle of the city, but there were regular buses if needed. |

Efficient courteous friendly staff, good food, ample car parking which is unusual in York, and I will definitely stay there again. |

Only had breakfast. Food was excellent. A bit difficult to get to hotel due to traffic. Prices high for the standard of accommodation compared with what is on offer elsewhere |

The hotel staff were helpful but did not tell me that they did lunch (sandwiches) on room service, so I had to go out to find some lunch. The food was excellent at dinner and breakfast and the service good. The swimming pool was lovely even though it was only 10 metres. The overall look of the public areas of the hotel were a bit dated and shabby - the carpet definitely needed replacing. Otherwise it was convenient and had its own car parking. |
