After a hard day of business or site-seeing, the Kilima Hotel Leisure Club is an ideal place to unwind. Exclusive and discrete, the club is free to all resident guests of the hotel.This includes heated swimming pool, fitness suite and steam room. All rooms are en-suite with bath and shower, colour television, hair-drier trouser press, radio, direct-dialtelephone and tea and coffee-making facilities. Restaurant and Bar Our comfortable restaurant has an excellent reputation locally and is decorated to create a perfect setting for the appreciation of fine food and wine. The Kilima Hotel is located near York city centre on the A59 Holgate Road. From A1/A64 South take York North exit off the A64. Follow outer ring road until reaching the roundabout at the A59--turn towards York. Continue towards York on A59 until you see the hotel on your right (If you reach an iron railway bridge you have passed the hotel).From A19 North turn onto York outer ring road heading for Leeds and A64 turn towards York at roundabout at A59.Continue towards York on A59 until you see the hotel on your right (If you reach an iron railway bridge you have passed the hotel).From North A59--continue on A59 toward York until you see the hotel on your right (If you reach an iron railway bridge you have passed the hotel).From East follow A64 to York West exit (A1036) pass York College and York Racecourse until reaching traffic lights at the Mount. This was a desperate last minute booking when all other hotels in York were full. What a find! Small Best Western hotel, room was large and beautifully decorated, breakfast was excellant with very friendly service. Our only difficulty was the directions from the ring road were rather vague. It was also a good 1/2 hour walk into the middle of the city, but there were regular buses if needed.

Efficient courteous friendly staff, good food, ample car parking which is unusual in York, and I will definitely stay there again.

Only had breakfast. Food was excellent. A bit difficult to get to hotel due to traffic. Prices high for the standard of accommodation compared with what is on offer elsewhere
Staff very friendly and anxious to be of assistance. Had small problem in room which was attended to vey quickly.

The hotel staff were helpful but did not tell me that they did lunch (sandwiches) on room service, so I had to go out to find some lunch. The food was excellent at dinner and breakfast and the service good. The swimming pool was lovely even though it was only 10 metres. The overall look of the public areas of the hotel were a bit dated and shabby - the carpet definitely needed replacing. Otherwise it was convenient and had its own car parking.
