The restaurant was very expensive but we would have eaten in there if there had been a set menu. Instead we went to the local pub in the village which was excellent. |

Our eldest had signed up for an open day at the university so, as it was half-term, we decided to turn it into a mini-break. This hotel provided easy access to the city (and also the Park and Ride). Clean, comfortable rooms free from external noise and next to eachother - always good for getting the boys up in the morning. Nice touch to offer fresh milk for tea and coffee making. I liked the bathroom, which was well ventilated (I reported the broken latch to reception); however, the bath had an odd convoluted shape, not good if you like a long soak. Good self-serve English Breakfast but otherwise we ate out. The White Swan, also in the village does excellent food. |

Decent place to stay. Rooms are spacious, clean and there is very little road noise, because the accommodation wing is behind the reception building. I also like the the way they provide digital terrestrial TV in the rooms, which is still so uncommon in hotels. |
