By Road From The South follow M74 to junction 8. Take A71 to Irvine. At Warrix Interchange take left for Ayr and Troon to Newhouse Interchange then bear right for Harbourside. The Gailes Restaurant and Hotel is situated on Marine Drive. From The North follow M77/A77 to Kilmarnock Bellfield Interchange. Take A71 for Irvine then directions as above. From Ayr take the A77 to Dutch House Roundabout and follow A78 to Irvine. Exit at the Newhouse interchange and follow signs for Harbourside. Public Transport A short taxi journey from Irvine Train Station, Glasgow-Prestwick Airport and Troon P&O Ferry Terminal.

What better recommendation or assessment could I make than to say that when I arrived at midnight I was presented with the penthouse suite for a £50 room. I know this is not the norm but having stayed at this hotel on several occasions, I simply cannot fault any aspect. Gailes is superbly run with friendly staff, quality food and rooms that are second to none.

Nice Hotel, staff very friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Some fixtures and fittings basic and in a number of areas worn and needed a sprucing up but no major issues. Had trouble entering my room with the card on a number of occasions.
The breakfast was very good.
I can recommend the hotel at the cost I paid and next time in the area will most likely stay at the hotel.
