    The hotel appeared to be recently renovated and was quite charming, not at all like the usual mass-produced hotels where you have no idea which country you are in. Some of the downsides: my single room was very small (on the positive side, it had a terrace), and the hotel is close to a chuch, so 7:00 am wake-up bells are guaranteed.

    Great location, reception staff friendly, clean and recently refurbished rooms. Rooms small, but that was expected in Venice. No lift and a steep 4 flights of stairs to our room. View of canal, and we could hear the gondolieres singing from our room. Short walk to Rialto bridge, and about the same distance to St Marks Square.
