Older than the Ascot racecourse, The Royal Berkshire was built in 1705. A beautiful Queen Anne Mansion set in 14 acres of gardens, it was originally built for the Churchill family. The hotel has been totally refurbished and once again can claim to offer exceptional hospitality. Leisure area includes an indoor pool, spa bath, exercise area and two outdoor tennis courts. From the M25
Leave the M25 at junction 13 and take the A30, sign posted to Egham, Bagshot and/or Camberley. Follow the A30 towards Bagshot/Camberley for approximately 4½ miles, over two roundabouts and through two sets of lights. Turn right at the third set of traffic lights, opposite Wentworth Golf Club, onto the A329, (signposted for Ascot). Continue along the A329 for two miles and the entrance to the Hotel is on the right hand side.

From the West M4
If you are travelling from the West leave the M4 at junction 10 (sign posted for Bracknell). Join the A329 which will take you through Bracknell and Ascot. Stay on the A329 for a further 2 miles out of Ascot. The hotel is on the left hand side.

From London M4
From Central London join the M4 at Hammersmith. Leave the M4 at junction 4B which leads onto the M25. Follow the M25 Southbound towards Gatwick, leave the M25 at junction 13 (follow directions above from the M25).

From the North M1
Leave the M1 and join the M25 towards Heathrow. Follow the M25, then exit the M25 at junction 13 (follow directions above from the M25).

After a long day the hotel was a perfect retreat... My only complaint, the hotel couldnt offer non feather pillows

Overall an average but pleasant stay. Having been the place to be the Royal Berkshire nowadays is much more grounded and normal. The mature gradens are beautiful and if time permits a stroll should be part of the stay. The staff is efficiant and friendly the room was ok for the price.
