Set in the heart of Aberdeen the Thistle Aberdeen Caledonian is the hidden gem of the Granite City. Our elegant Victorian setting is the backdrop for our renowned warm Scottish hospitality. Our deluxe rooms and dining outlets boast fantastic views over Union Terrace Gardens, and the hotel is a stone's throw from the main shopping centres of the city.
We offer a range of sumptuous dining facilities - our AA-Rosette graded Restaurant on the Terrace prides itself on offering quality local produce while our Cafe Bar Caley is the ideal getwaway for light bites and hearty lunches.
Restaurant opening times: 6.30 - 9.30pm Monday - Saturday (closed Sunday).
Cafe Bar opening times: 10.30am - 10pm daily.
Breakfast served midweek 6.30 - 9.30am and weekends 7.30 - 10.30am.
The hotel provides a small, complimentary car park at the rear of the premises. Spaces are allocated on a first-come first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed.
PLEASE NOTE THE HOTEL IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING A £3 MILLION REFURBISHMENT, THE FIRST PHASE OF WHICH SHOULD BE COMPLETED BY OCTOBER 2008. WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO KEEP GUEST DISRUPTION TO A MINIMUM DURING THIS TIME.

Road
From the motorway, follow signs for City Centre and Union Street. Half way down the main thoroughfare turn left into Union Terrace and the hotel is on the left after approximately 100 yards.

Railway and the Tube
Turn left after exiting Aberdeen Station (0.25 miles) and follow the road to the right. Proceed up the hill to the traffic lights. Cross to the other side of the road and hotel is 100 yards further on, on the left.

Air
From Aberdeen Airport (7 miles), follow the A92 Dundee/Perth Road, continue to follow road until you reach a roundabout with signs for B9119 City Centre exit. Head for the city centre and Union Terrace is located half way down the main thoroughfare.

Bar/cafe area lovely. restaurant menu a little too fussy for me but lots of places to eat round about the hotel. Overall stay was lovely!

Ok hotel, but far from being luxury. I stayed in one of the older rooms which was average. Apparently some rooms have been refurbished, and they look a lot nicer... but a lot more expensive too! Reception/restaurant nice, and staff friendly.

We found the hotel very good value for money. When we arrived, we were given a free upgrade to an executive double room which had been newly refurbished to a very high standard. The location was very handy, being right in the city centre. I'd definitely stay there again.
