Hotel is in dire need of an overhaul, leaflet in room suggests it was happening in the next few months, then you go on to find out that the leaflet was for 2006 !! Either the refurb happened and they relocated all the rubbish in from the other hotels that were completed, or they forgot that the Leeds/Selby hotel was still on the map. The leisure facilities were absolute pants, pool was closed when I arrived (6.30 pm) so I had dinner. The pool then opened and it was too late to swim as I had eaten. Hotel is mainly for contractors/businessmen on a cheap budget. Not any good for a family stay. Good job the company was paying as I would of felt really hard done by. Bed was clean, bathroom outdated, not enough sugar and coffee/tea to have more than 1 cup of if two persons stay in the room |

The outside of the hotel is rather off putting - to say the least! I arrived at 10pm to find about 8 youths outside, quite drunk, loud, smoking etc. However, we were quickly checked in. The room was fine, although a little small. Bath was a bit grubby. I didnt eat at the hotel. Staff very helpful in finding my venue the following morning. |

The food served was not very appetising and I did not chose to eat breakfast. The staff in the bar were pleasant and engaging. Checking in and out was a very protracted event and with only one check in clerk there were queues forming of 5 and 6 people at peak times. The facilities were addequate but the attention to detail regards the house keeping was poor, cob webbs hanging from the ceiling, light fittings missing and broken. I left a note on departure with the problems I had found but the staff showed little interest, just smiled. |

I stayed here when it was known as the Seby Fork Motel. That was about 10 years ago and they don't seem to have decorated the public areas since then. In fairness, the room was clean and the bathroom had been refurbished. Food was dire - I ate about 8.00 pm and was told that all that was available was what had been sitting on the hot table - a dismal looking steak pie and pork chops that should have been thrown away at least an hour before. Somehow the staff keep smiling and were pleasant and helpful. |
