Lovely setting; would be even nicer in summer. Room, food and service were all good. Room not huge, but fine. Bathroom had space for toiletries etc, which is rare these days. I'd definitely go back. |

The accommodation was only just 3 star - the hotel seemed to be run by pubesent teenagers, they did their best, but they really needed somebody who looked in charge. The receptionist could not direct an elderly guest to the nearest hospital for his wife, not really her fault, the information should have been at her fingertips, this is a management fault. The hotel is close to Maidenhead and right on the Thames, nice location in summer, but in October/November when its raining - well the hotel doesn't offer a lot. The hotel could do with a good spring clean, our room was quite nice, but the shower took quite a while to heat up, and even then not particuarly hot, and the water pressure was typicial of an English hotel, about as strong as the rain outside. Would DEFINATELY NOT pay the full rate for this hotel. |

Bizarre that the hotel has spent a lot of money renovating the rooms to a high standard, yet the reception area, customer's first impression of the hotel, has a tatty dog-eared carpets, a messy office in full view of the reception desk etc |
