Staff very pleasent and helpful. Bar staff were sometimes away from the bar area.
Food - evening meal, acceptable but lacking in polish you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Wine list was extensive, but on both occasions wine was ordered an alternative wine was offered. Good but why was the wine list so out of date. Breakfast was a hit and miss affair: traditional breakfast was hot and plentiful, however ordered smoked haddock on the second morning and was very overcooked. Enjoyed it all day!

Hotel waqs lovely and room very nice, but gym and pool were a let down for a hotel so nice, the gym equipment is dated and the pool was dirty!

The food and service at this hotel were excellent, staff friendly and helpful. What ruined are stay for us was the quality of the room, leisure facillities and no hot water from the third morning. The room was smaller than expected and bathroom only contained shower, toilet and sink, no bath. If the leisure facillities have been recently updated i dread to think what they were like before, they were situated outwith the hotel in what i can only described as a large shed, the pool was cold and dirty. When complained about hot water was informed new boiler had been fitted and they would check while we out on our return situation no better, we were offered alternative arrangements for shower, but not much better.
It is a real shame that the above reasons let down our stay as we really enjoyed the location food and customer care, would only return if major refurb carrried out.

This hotel was ok if you cannot get anywhere else to stay. The staff did not seem to know much when asked questions. The breakfast was very good but the evening meal was badly cooked on the second night and was bordering on inedible. The room was tired and needed upgrading. Certainly was not top class by any stretch of the imagination 2 star rating. Regarding the facilities we asked about the beauty therapist but was told they did not do it anymore only to find she was in the room next door. Bit of a faulty towers experience.
