I booked the day before as a treat for my Mum's 83rd birthday. She loved every minute. It was pricey at £168 for bed and breakfast (dinner bill £73, excluding coffee). No regrets though as a one-off treat. You get what you pay for and it more than lived up to our expectations. Elegant hotel with good restaurant. Excellent room with lake view. Windermere is a stone's throw away. Easy parking, and the hotel let us leave the car there after check-out while we went on a lake cruise (boats depart from outside the hotel). It was a bit of a trek to the shared spa at a nearby hotel, but worth the effort - well appointed leisure club with nice clean pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. |

The hotel was fantastic with great views over lake Windermere and ideal for the Waterside ferry point. The atmosphere in the hotel was friendly and the rooms were clean, modern and very comfortable. The restaraunt was spotless and the food quality was excellent. |
