The guest house is situated just behind of St.Angelo Castle. It is in the Piazza Cavour in a building dating from the end of the 18th century.From this quiet and very safe area,you can walk to the Spanish Steps,the Piazza Navona,and the Trevi Fountain in only 10 min. by crossing the Cavour Bridge over the river Tiber. Also the same time by foot to get to the Vatican area in 5 minutes only ! The guest house has 15 rooms, all with private bathroom (shower or bath tub) TV, safe and air conditioning, rooms furnished with antique furniture to create a very comfortable family environment. From the main station "TERMINI" take the bus 70 or 492 to the Piazza CAVOUR or the METRO "LINEA A" to the stop LEPANTO (300 metres to our guest house).From the FIUMICINO AIRPORT take the train to the station TERMINI (and there the BUS 70 or 492 to the Piazza Cavour). From Ciampino airport there is a bus "COTRAL" to the station "Anagnina" and from there the metro to the stop "Lepanto". On request, we also can pick you up DIRECTLY from the airports with our private service (just let us know about your flight details) and you will arrive at our guest house in 30-35 minutes !

I had a very enjoyable stay at Marta, the building was lovely and the location could not have been better although it can be a little difficult to find on first arriving. On arrival at reception I was given a map and many details about the sites, getting around the city and general info that was invaluble. The room was great but you must like a hard bed, which I do. The shower is a little small but you don't exactly spend a long time in there so it didn't matter. Did I mention the location? Well.... very close to many of the attractions, only a short walk and with the info given to me at reception it was easy to get to everything else. I loved Rome and Marta if I go back which I have every intention of doing I would stay there again.

The hotel was in a terrific location and was a good value for the money. I would recommend to another and would stay there again. The only problem I had was trying to find the hotel. Because I was coming in on public transportation being told that the hotel was 400 meters from the stop was difficult...especially because I am an American so we use feet and miles. It would have been really nice to have been given a small map with clear visual directions from the stops to help...that would have saved me walking around with my stuff for 45 minutes lost.
