The only problem we had was that the room was very hot. We had the air con on but did not not seem to do much. I was bit annoyed as I had a 10 mile run the next day and needed sleep but kepy waking up because of the heat! |

We have no complaints except with the cost of the meals. Our bill for the evening meal was exorbitant for the size of the meals. They were ery good quality, but we had our son with us and he left the table less than replete. When they said leeks I would have expected to have at least one whole one not two measly strips. This was the same with everything. The food looked good but was miserly occupying less than a third of the plate. My dessert, Rhubarb tart with crumble topping was awful. The crumble could have broken a tooth and the base was so hard I left it. Nobody at any point asked us how our meal was, even though they could see I had left my dessert mostly uneaten. Also it was a large dining room with plenty of space, half empty and they put us so close to the next table that the waitress hit herself moving between. The next night we dined at a local Pub where the food was excellend and reasonably priced. |

Good location. Rooms well fitted out and very quiet. Bar dinner, and the breakfast in the restaurant are excellent. Friendly professional staff. Despite all that I think it is expensive at full price, so have only ever booked through Laterooms.com at a discounted price. Then it is good value. |
