Very tired almost crossroads like! Carpets and furnishing showing age. Breakfast burger buns a real shocker..Most people you speak to in various Northampton hotels have tried this hotel before but rarely go back again.. |

we booked an executive room but i really wouldnt describe it as executive. It did not look as though it had been 'recently refurbished' as described. The corridor to reach our room looked more like staff quarters - pictures propped up against the walls, old wooden doors. We did not receive any complimentary mineral water and i wouldnt describe the toiletries as luxury! minimal yes maybe, it is a good job only one of us wanted body lotion.. . The hair drier didnt work in the bathroom and there was a previous occupant's old contact lens on the floor by the bin. We complained to the acting manager about the hairdrier and she wasnt really interested in the problems but gave us a discount, i wouldnt be surprised if the hair drier still doesnt work. The only good thing was the breakfast and the location - being near to the town centre. |

This hotel is in desperate need of new management and refurbishment. I have been staying at this hotel for well over 25 years. Orginally know as "The Saxony" the standards of cleanliness and service were kept to a very high standard. It then changed its name to "The Moat House" and standards slowly started to deteriorate. The hotel was in desperate need of investment and refurbishment. Finally it became "Park Inn Northampton and Oh Dear. The reception area was clean but very dated. One would not expect to see a decorated Christmas Tree at the beginning of October. The receptionist was in full agreement. |

The breakfast was okay - some of the items were not very hot - was disappointed with the standard of the room as the carpet was threadbare and the wallpaper was hanging off the walls - the curtains were in desperate need of a clean and at one end of the rail were hanging off and the toilet seat was broken. The room was overall quite clean but would recommend that you refurbish the bathroom and completely update the bedroom. The reception from the television was poor as the screen was very fuzzy. I would probably not be confident to recommend this hotel to anyone as the room only was £92 and compared to other hotels was not worth the money. |
