Location was okay, £5 taxi from BHAM New Street. Hotel - looks like they spent money on the lobby, function rooms and bar but kind of forgot about the rooms, but for 1 night it wasn't too bad. |

I guess a total score rating for this hotel is approx a 4 out of 10. It is a nightmare to find if your not familiar with Birmingham and the website directions were vague. Room was small but clean. The lobby and corridors are so drab and in need of some lighter paint on the walls, really needs a fresher image to compliment the excellent hygiene standards. Location was also grim but was not too far from the city and costs around £10 in a taxi. If you add up the taxi fares, I feel it would make economic sense to pay extra in a more upmarket hotel in the centre of the city, thus avoiding the taxi fares and you would find its not much dearer to stay in town. I would not stay again, unless I was going to the Custard Factory Nightclub, then it is an exellent location. |

No chair in room, although there was a small desk. At request, a friendly receptionist immediately brought a chair to the room, although he confirmed there "normally weren't any in the rooms" (a small single) |
