I struggle to see how this is a 4* hotel (probably just becasue it has a pool). The decor of the hotel is very odd and nothing seems to go together. There are roman statues lit by blue lights but these are all out of context with the rest of the hotel's decor. The room was incredibly stuffy and we struggled with the temperature with 2 adults and a baby. They gave us a cot, but didnt take away the table and chair so it was over crowded with furniture. Eventhough they knew there were 3 of us (they gave us a cot) they only provided one towel. The floor in the breakfast room was very dirty - our son crawled on the floor for literally 2 minutes and stood up with black hands. Overall, I think this hotel is trying too hard - plaques on the doors of rooms telling you Cliff Richard (Singer) or Linda Lusardi (Super Model?) did not appeal to me. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and would personally rate this as more of a motel with hotel amenities rather than a 4 start hotel. For the same price room, I will go back to the Marriot next time. |

Very easy to find and a good alternative to Motorway Lodges. Service worthy of a mention, Always worth calling in on a North West trip as a reminder of friendly people. |
