Chase Lodge Hotel

The Richard the Lionheart room is somewhat cold unless the radiator is put to full and left on all the time and the decoration could do with a little attention. There is little lighting in the room, a table lamp was missing a bulb and the switch for the wall lights could not be found. The room is however clean, the bathroom excellent and the furnishings of a good quality. The owners are certainly making an effort to improve the standard of accommodation - the tv has just been upgraded to a very large flat screen. Having stayed in other suites at this hotel, the Richard the Lionheart room is just a little dissappointing.

Only booked for one night but a good hotel. People were plesant and the hotel clean and in a decent location for trains to Twickenham and Waterloo where I needed to be. The room was good and clean but a gripe was I was told when booking the hotel had no single rooms left at one rate but had a double left at a dearer tariff but on arrival it was a single room but adequite.
The only dissapointment was that the only meal I had there was breakfast and was only offered a continental style cereal ,fruit and orange juice not a cooked breakfast which for the price of the room I thought would be offered but there are some good places to eat on the high street and it has the bonus of being close to the station.

On my arrival the receptionist was very helpful as i was in a rush to get in then go out straight away, on my departure one of the staff checked train times for me from the local station and even walked part way their to show me the way, you cant fault service like that , thank you .
