Very pleasant small hotel -- effectively a country 'restaurant with rooms'. Set in extensive, lovely (if a bit wild and muddy) grounds. Plenty of parking. Dinner at fixed price of £30 for 2 and £40 for 3 courses for good quality was pretty good value, but watch the wine prices. |

my husband and i (we are in our early 30s) stayed at fairyhill for the night of our first wedding anniversary. the hotel excelled itself by organising my surprise bouquet of roses and bottle of pink champagne on ice for our arrival, and upgraded our room to a much bigger one than we'd booked, with a uge bathroom and lovely views. fabulous occitane and penhaligons tioletries if that floats your boat! dinner and breakfast were very good indeed, and i would without hesitation go back. |
