Set dinner was good but a little expensive. But hotel was small and friendly, and well located for the Peak District. The room would have been much more expensive if we had booked directly with hotel. |

Arrived at the hotel not knowing what to expect. It was absolutely fantastic. The room was so lovely with all the little extras that make it special - fruit, chocolates, cafatierre coffee, tea, peanuts and a little fridge for personal use. The staff throughout were so thoughtful and friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The evening meal was first class. Like most hotels the restaurant lacked that little extra ambience, but this didn't spoil what was a fantastic meal. Breakfast was sufficient. The grounds wer splendid, especially with the river running to the side of the hotel. Although lucky to get it at a reduced price through Late Rooms I would still pay the full price and feel the same. A fantastic experience and will certainly be going back there again. |

the hotel is very comfortable and the staff are very efficient and friendly. We were very impressed, and particularly loved the setting, the lovely gardens and the river flowing peacefully by. A great place to unwind for a few days. |
