Excellent hotel with excellent facilities in an excellent location. Have now stayed here 5 times in the last 10 years and hope to keep on returning when visiting the area. Rooms are excellent for the family, swimming pool is great for adults and children, and often quiet, tennis courts and mini golf are also family favorites. Rutland Water is a beautiful location, with great views from the hotel, as well as providing good leisure opportunities of its own (particularly the cycling). |

Room a little disappointing - faced a white wall so no views and next to steps up to higher areas so we could hear late night discussions from passers by about what time they would be going to breakfast etc. Breakfast was buffet style and of a pretty good standard for that sort of style. Leisure pool was good, although confusing re entrance - involved a lot of walking up and downstairs to get tokens etc. All in all an OK hotel for teh price paid but would recommend a room upgrade in order to get some sort of view! |

Great hotel. Wished we could have stayed longer than one night as the hotel has a lovely location setting. Room was adequate for a late rooms deal and very clean and tidy. I just wish those fire doors shut more quietly in what ever section we stayed in. |

We stayed with two children ina superior room which was big enough not to fall over each other and with outdoor space to sit in after children had gone to sleep. Would recommend Barnsdale hall both for location for family friendly cycling and reasonably priced family friendly facilities. |

Beautiful setting with excellent leisure facilities though I thought the room a little basic for a hotel of this class. |
