Great location in an historic coaching house which has been tastefully re-furbished with open fireplace in comfy lounges. Staff (Gary in particular) were very helpful and polite. Overall though this was a great place to stay. |

Booked a double and was given a twin - room not fully prepared - no towels. The hotel did rectify this, after we asked and offered complimentary drink. No parking was available and we had to pay at local car park both on the day of stay and the next morning- requiring me to top the meter up at 8 am Sunday morning. |

Breakfast was poor with only minimum amounts served of milk. Toas etc. Tpast clearly been mass produced and just waiting to be served. Attention to detail in Hardy`s Bistro could have been better...eg dishes missed and staff not really paying heed to what was wanted and then giving us a double portion of chips as well as mashed potato. We went elsewhere on the 2nd evening for a far bettre meal and service. |

I have used this hotel a number of occasions and since the recent refurbishments I find it to be very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and the food is of a good standard. I would use it again and have recommended other colleagues to use it, and they have. |
