We received a very pleasant greeting on arrival. The bedroom was well equipped - TV, tea/coffee, biscuits. But no hairdryer - this was not a problem because one was provided by reception. The room was clean and warm - and the shower was as I like it - good power and hot. Breakfast was excellent although if you have coffee you get one cup and have to request a top up. Check out was straightforward with no problems experienced. |

The breakfast was not what I expected for the price and rating of the hotel. Food was just bad. Overcooked, hardly any fruit, only baked rolls one day, tea urns were always empty. The location was convenient and rooms nice to sleep in. But for the money I would choose to stay somewhere else in town |

The room we were given was awful, with a terrible view and a tiny double bed at the end of the hotel. We asked for a late checkout which we were refused with no reason. The newspaper we requested and had to pay for was not left outside our room, and when asked why, the excuse was the other guests steal them - great guests this hotel attracts. |

The only criticism i can offer is that my TV wouldn't let me turn it down below a certain volume (both using the remote and on the set itself), thus meaning that my TV was quite loud. The same issue may have been occuring with the people in the room next to me as i could hear their TV on loudly and this prevented me from sleeping. Then again that could have just been because they were inconsiderate and had their TV on loudly passed 11pm, rather than a problem with all the TV sets in the hotel. |
