Very attractive country style hotel with excellent food. Ideally placed for Duff House Royal Golf course. The suite (for 5) was excellent value |

Very quiet in hotel a few weeks before Christmas. Rooms decoration very old fashioned, but a very large room, with a clean bathroom. Food was very good, (bar meal) and the staff very friendly. Hotel was a little overpriced for what it was, but would use again if in area. |

Thought the hotel was great, the only dissapointing thing was the breakfast. I waited for 10 minutes in the breakfast room in the morning and no-one came to take an order or anything, there were no glasses to pour the orange juice into either. When eventually 15 minutes later someone came in, i only got offered tea or coffee, there were no menus for cooked breakfast and i didnt even get offered a cooked breakfast even though she was serving another guest a cooked breakfast. I had to ask for the glasses for the orange juice, had a drink of juice then left as i had no time to wait for her to come back in again to ask if i could order my breakfast. She seemed to be the only person around and it was the same girl who 10 minutes later came to reception when i was checking out. Looked like she was making the breakfast, attending reception and other things all by herself. If i was there on leisure and had the time to wait around it would have been ok but i was there on business so could not hang around. |

Slightly dated interior, but warm and friendly service and good views from most of the rooms. Breakfast excellent. Easy access to Banff and Macduff. |
