Good location. Nice hotel downstairs (lobby, restaurant and bar), but the actual room was small, dated and tired. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would probably not stay again. |

I chose this hotel because of it's location but was not inpressed with my room. It was in need of updating and the bedspread was a bit grubby. The only saving grace was the helpful & friendly staff. |

The hotel was comfortable but over priced. The food we had on the Friday evening was awful - my husband had scallops and they were disgusting - definitely not fresh - he even thought they might be whelks!! Thats how awful they were. We only ate in the restaurant because we could find no where else in Lowestoft to eat. The breakfast on Sunday morning was a disaster - we waited 50 minutes and in the end walked out - every one was complaining. we told the receptionist and she said it is always like this on a Sunday mornings - she deducted the breakfast amount off of our bill.(I must add that we had breakfast on Saturday morning & that was lovely with no problems)The staff were all very nice & hard working & trying to make the best of a bad job - they were all quite young and I have no complaints about them. |
