The Moat House is convenient for Hanley Festival Park, and has free parking. The room was comfortable, though the modern trend for low level lighting (ie semi darkness) makes it impossible for us oldies to read in bed. We had booked a family room which turned out to have bunk beds and a double - a fair size, not huge but certainly not cramped. On this occasion the noise from the Christmas party below and clog dancing in the room above disturbed us until about one o'clock, even though we were apparently on the "quieter side" of the hotel. When we mentioned this at reception next morning, we were recommended to opt another time for the more expensive rooms on the fourth floor ...... However, we believe that a guest on that floor had also complained about the noise. For the price it was fairly good value but not quite relaxing. The reception staff were helpful. |
