Fist impressions were ok, nothing amazing about it. Had any problems while we were there. We booked a family room, which was barely big enough for a couple let alone a toddler as well. When the 3rd bed was put up you couldn't walk around the room, this really ruined it for us, we were basically on top of eachother! There was one member of Reception that was nice other than that they were quite grumpy. We had 2 incidents with them, the first was the room cleaner somehow smashed the top off of a new bottle of aftershave. We managed to get the money back for it after they tried to get away with it, the second was over some spilt wine on the carpet, we came to find them complaining about it saying we would have to pay for the damage to the carpet as red wine stains. I was not impressed after all if the room had been a family room size it would not have happened. We went upstairs to find the cleaner had poured salt all over the stain, there was no evidence that they had tried to clean it at all, I got so annoyed I cleaned it myself and got it all off! Of course the manager had to check it, she looked baffled as to how I did it and asked me, I replied with a little bit of elbow grease, she didn't get it but I refused to be charged for something that could've been cleaned off! Overall we were very disappointed with the hotel, only good thing I would say is that it is a short walk into the town, although a work out walking back as it is very hilly. Definately would not stay here ever again!! |

Restaurant not open on the Sunday night and reception staff not very helpful in recommending anywhere to eat on a Sunday. Rooms very basic and not very comfortable and it was expensive to park the car in the hotel underground car park. Although out of the centre of Biarritz it was only a short walk. |

Quite close to the centre of town, less than 10 minute walk. Receptioist was friendly, room was clean but basic. Higher rated star hotels in the centre of Biarritz were not as good as this one (stayed in others). Good value for money but certainly not special, it won't be the talking point of your holiday, and that can be a goood thing too! |
