Charming Country House Hotel offering luxury accommodation, prominently situated on the Common within this delightful village, famously known as 'Aidensfield' in the popular TV series 'Heartbeat'.Most rooms have views of the village church opposite, or the wide expanses of the Moors.The North Yorkshire Moors steam railway also stops in the village.Visit the 70 foot high Mallyan Spout waterfall, which flows into a wooded valley a short walk from the hotel.

Lovely location and hotel. Room cute! Food very good and they even had skimmed milk for my wife (a rarity). Very pleasant, friendly staff who go out of their way to help.

Despite us making a late booking, the staff upgraded us to a suite with lovely views of the garden and the North York Moors, just because the room was available. The hotel is on the edge of the village of Goathland and is an extremely friendly, comfortable and traditional. We did not try the restaurant but we had a bar meal in the evening which was very good and the breakfast was excellent. Another couple were eating in the bar with their three children and they were made very welcome.Even without the free upgrade we would have had a very enjoyable stay at the Mallyan Spout.

This was a most enjoyable stay, from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly left the staff were so welcoming and friendly, just could not do enough for you. The room was superb and the food excellant, I cant wait to go back
