Belfry House Hotel Manchester Airport

I was always under the impression that this Hotel was a cut above the rest, but the rooms were very small and basic. Still using the old style itchy blankets, no double glazing and only 5 channels of snowy TV!
The hotel is being refurbed so it may improve, but having the contractors start drilling and hammering at 8am on a Sunday morning isnt the best idea.
The bar was overpriced £3.30 for a bottle and they had no change! I'd stay here only if all the others in the area were full and you had no choice.

Need to get the renovations started as rooms are a little tired. People who serve in restaurant and bar always get the feeling it is a chore for them not something that they enjoy as at other hotels.

The hotel is currently getting renovated and this should be pointed out to you before booking. My room was appalling, the bathroom was mouldy. The furniture was as old as the hills. The food wasn't much better either. The only good thing was it had a gym.
