Harmless biggish hotel in quiet country backroad. Main building is an original manor house and still has some amazing historic parts here, including hammerbeam ceiling, although also a rather conference-like atmosphere. Friendly gardener (?) showed us around. They lay on gingerbread men at the check-out too.
NB: the instructions on their website indicate that you reach their hotel via 'TURN TWICE LEFT' - the last directions on your journey. This must be a translation (since they're French?) because what they actually mean is TAKE THE SECOND TURNING ON THE LEFT. Worth knowing if you arrive in the dark as we did!
Would recommend this hotel as a stopover from the A1/M. Very handy.

This is a lovely hotel, set in beautiful countryside. The staff were very attentive, the room very clean, well presented and comfortable. All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay! I can't comment on the food because I didn't dine here but I know several people in the area who assure me the food is excellent.

Outstanding hotel with excellent staff and facilities. A bit disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price and there was no internet in room. Gym facilities outstanding and lovely room
