For a 5 star hotel it would have been excellent value for money; it was not a 5 star hotel. Why? rooms to small, Bath is chipped, 2 loose biscuits in the barrel, veranda h was to cold to relax in,
We phoned to inform them not to put us in a noisy room; and yet in room 5 we could hear the central heating boiler turning on and off. Martini & Lemonade tasted as soda water. & No phone in the room:- Mobile signal not good in that area.

Management Response
The guests booked a lovely standard room, we do have larger rooms subject to availability, if guests want to upgrade to Superior rooms. We have never received any complaints about the noise or mobile signal from previous guests. The biscuits were loose in an air tight biscuit tin as they are homemade, extra biscuits were given to the guests when the chef made them fresh. We are quite surprised at the comments as the guests shook our hands and thanked us for a lovely time. If the guests would have voiced any concerns during their stay we would have endeavored to accommodate them even further and make their stay more enjoyable.

Very comfortable hotel well furnished and newly redecorated to a tasteful and high standard.Very comfortable beds.Nicely heated as we stayed in a cold snap.Evening meals beautifully served and cooked. Not cheap though from £25 each for the 3 course.
Beware you could end up paying twice .we did not realize the payment went on our credit card before our arrival,we paid on leaving and had to request a refund as we had paid twice.!

Stayed here for one night and wish it could have been longer. Loved the lounge and the conservatory, both perfect for relaxing with a drink served by the very efficient & friendly staff. Booked a superior room and it was excellent, spacious, lovely furnishings (especially the curtains!), big comfortable bed, good views. Didn't have dinner but breakfast was good.
One comment to the owners, hope you don't mind: the front entrance to the property doesn't really give an impression of how good the rest of it it is, and having a transit van parked right outside the entrance for the whole weekend doesn't help.
