Many years since I visited Truro and I had forgotten what a lovely town it is. This hotel is perfectly located and even though there was still some renovation going on I could not fault it in any way. Room 48 apparently you either hate or adore - I loved it - being tucked up in the eaves away from it all.

Apartment accommodation was very clean. Floor very creaky; could not move without fear of disturbing residents of the apartment below us! Apart from that, the only other feature which we feel let the place down a bit, was the choice of settee which did not fit in with the overall scheme of things and was quite uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. Otherwise everything was really nice.

We were in an executive room on the 3rd floor which was gorgeous but small with a walk in shower. We have stayed here before but never on the 3rd floor. Breakfast is always a bit of a dissapointment if you want a fuil english as there is not enough of it.

Lovely room - we were upgraded. Stylish decor, comfortable luxurious bed, nice bathroom. Only gripe was breakfast - limited vegetarian cooked options as there was no mushrooms or hash browns, so we just had poached eggs (served on unbuttered toast!) Coffee was watery and service a bit slow. Receptionist was excellent, friendly and professional.
