I was very disappointed with the Beaumont House Hotel. Me and my girlfriend had picked this hotel as it seemed very clean and tidy and located close to where we had to be on the night of our stay.......When we pulled into the hotel grounds we found that the car park was miles away from the reception check in area, and it was pouring with rain on the night of our arrival. Thus me and my girlfriend had to park and run in the pouring rain to check in. Upon check in we were then advised we could of parked outside reception temporarily to check in but this was not signposted so we were not to know. A little late to tell us that now we were soaked through. We then discovered our room was yet again another long walk, past where we had parked (luckily through the hotel this time). On getting to our room, we found our phone didn't work. I wanted to order a couple of drinks with room service, so I walked down to reception only to walk around for at least 5 mins trying to find someone! Reception was totally unmanned! With this I walked all the way back to my room. As neither my girlfriend or myself had network coverage on our mobiles my girlfriend decided to take a walk down herself to find someone to ask about our phone and some room service. She was told the hotel did not do 'Room Service' however she could order drinks from the bar and take these back to the room. (What 4* hotel doesn't do room service?? Obviously this one) But they would organise someone to come and look at our phone for us. However, the hotel bar was another long walk away (in the opposite direction to our room). Once at the bar, my girlfriend was told by a bar person that she could not have drinks from the bar without 'My Signature' as the room was signed for by me and not her. And also that I would need to bring the room key with me, which would have left my girlfriend in our room with little lighting and I suspect no TV. In the morning, we then discovered that the hotels boilers had failed and that the entire hotel was without hot water! For us this was the final straw, we had planned to have breakfast and relax before we headed home.....1hr 45mins away in Bournemouth but we had had enough by this point. Myself and my girlfriend came down for a very important anniversary and felt completely gutted about the whole stay. The receptionist we spoke to on our check out was kind enough to comp our room, but to be honest we were disappointed about our anniversary being ruined and comping our room wouldn't change that. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will we be staying here again. I have never complained about anything on reviews before as I've never felt the need to, but I felt obliged to state just how upset I was on this occasion! Truly disappointed. |

We stayed at Beaumont House and found it to be a very good venue. Food, especially breakfast was very good and the staff always helpful. |

We have stayed in hotels before, we have stayed in Hayley's chain of hotels before too. But Beaumont House started off to be one of the worse experiences in ahotel for us ever. We got there just after 5. Collected our keys and was given directions to our room. On the long journey to our room, we asked varois cleaning staff what our standard double room was like. Their silence made us worry. When we finally got there after 10/15 min walking through various corridors and floors, our room was dated, claustrophobic and had a very soft bed. It was horrible. My Mrs got to the phone to reception where we were told the reception manager would get in touch with us. Waited. Manager rand, my mrs told her that for the money charged the room was very disappointedly situated as well as being small. To shich she replied that our standard rooms are NOT NICE. Not something we wanted to hear. Anyway, she offerred us a bottle of wine. But we passed as we wanted a room closer and better. After an hour we finally were given a deluxe room in nearby OLD SCHOOL by which time we were late by an hour and half for the function we were suppose to attend in Uxbridge. Very angry very disppointed! |

Recently refurbished rooms are excellent. The service is much inproved to previous stays. Two things to be away of: Rooms can be a five minute plus walk from reception and mobile phone signal can be hard to get. |
