A converted town house on the cosmopolitan West End of Glasgow. Within very easy access of Glasgow’s manifest attractions, you are just ten minutes by underground or bus from the city centre. You are alos just 5 minute’s walk from Glasgow University and a 10 minute walk to Kelvingrove Art Gallery. A family –owned establishment compromising 17 en-suite bedrooms all beautifully-appointed with free WiFi, hospitality tray, hairdryer and multi-channel television.

from the M8 exit on junction 17 and drive on to A82 road heading for Dumbarton, after the juction with Byres rd and Queen Margaret Drive turn left into Horsletthill Rd , drive past the cobbled lane on left hand side then turn left following the road for apx 200 yards. Turn left down narrow lane to bottom of the hill and turn left into Belhaven Terrace. If coming from Glasgow Airport a taxi will cost apx £17.00 for the 20 minute journey alternatively bus number 747 departs the terminal apx every 30 mins and will drop off at Botanic Gardens which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel

If you are in room 15 - 18 its up 3 flights of stairs - so accept the offered help with luggage.
Room could have done with a little maintenance - two light bulbs to be replaced - door closer on bathroom sorted out (grease) to cut down the noise and... any big guy would have failed to fit in the bath and the shower was a hand held job. That said that.. the hotel has a warm and friendly feel and the location is great .. it is something a little different.

Fresh fruit for breakfast was actually fresh. Staff friendly, professional and helpful. Hotel clean and well kept.

A good hotel for a short stay although the breakfast was not great. I stayed in a single room in the basement which was fine for my one night stay.

A lovely building with interesting architectural features. Helpful receptionist. Clean and warm. Just two minor niggles: the shower head didn't fit on the wall, and the fruit salad at breakfast was frozen solid.

Generally, a delightful old-fashioned guest house, very pleasant interior, excellent large room. Specific criticisms:
1: door to bathroom on a very stiff spring, and creaks -- difficult to use at night without disturbing other person
2: quality of breakfast indifferent: no good alternative to cooked Scottish breakfast
3: quality of coffeee: very poor
