Our Health and Leisure club boasts an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym gives the Oriel House Hotel that added touch in making your stay more enjoyable. The Oriel is a family run hotel located just a short stroll from the village of St Asaph and its beautiful cathedral in the attractive North Wales countryside. Nearby are a number of interesting historical sites, such as Conwy, Bodelwydden and the ancient copper mine in Llandudno that give a perspective on the sometimes tumultuous development of this part of the country. Just a short drive away, Snowdonia beckons you to feel and breathe alive in the Welsh Mountains.

From Chester, turn off the A55 on junction 27A Signposted Denbigh. Take the Denbigh Road which runs alongside the Cathedral. Oriel House is approximately one mile from the cathedral and is situated on the right hand side. From Conwy Turn off the A55 signposted St. Asaph, taking the right hand junction at the roundabout, continue to the next mini-roundabout taking the first left. Then continue through St. Asaph town centre taking a right turn just after the Cathedral. Oriel House is located 1 mile down the road on the right hand side. THE HOTEL WAS FINE..CARPETS A LITTLE WORN... and i have never met such a rude girl as the girl in the health club... grunted or didn't acknowledge or help...
Restaurant was excellent food and service was good overall.
Rooms are big and spacious with Wi Fi. modernly done out... excellent.
Breakfast was also good although the odd smile helps!

Large clean and well maintained room nice crisp bedding on a comfortable bed.
Comfortable bed and a huge deep bath.
A cafetiere and ground coffee was excellent idea wish other hotels did the same (would be nice to have the option of fresh milk)
Good sized pool and sauna although shower controls lacked any indication of hot/cold so I had a cold shower before I worked it out. Excellent cooked to order breakfast and buffet. I could find very little to fault. Enjoyable stay unexpected quality.
