Days Hotel Derby

Nice size room with very comfy big bed!!
Bathroom was compact but hadeverything you needed. The shower needed cleaning and didn't look very welcoming.
Staff were not rude but did not go out of their way to provide exceptional service or make me special and valued.

I would be happy to recommend this hotel.We were made to feel welcome and treated courtiously

This is a cheap hotel that charges a bit too much for its services. The food is microwave food, the blanket on the bed was well past its best, the room was cold and there was no spare blanket, and the supposed free WiFi in public areas just wasn't there. The staff are polite and helpful though. Didn't like the cancellation policy here, if you cancel at all, you get charged the full room amount. There are plenty of other value hotels (Premier Inn, to name just one) which charge less and deliver more.

Reasonable stay spoiled by damaged bedroom and appalling mattress. When I complained about these the desk staff were rude and abusive to me in front of my yuong children. I would not stay at this hotel ever again.

Very slow check in - I'd hate to see it when they're busy. No awareness of people waiting although all staff very pleasant. A non smoking room had been requested, no checks when we checked in and we were given smoking. So back down and the room changed. The lady in front had reserved and treble checked for a low floor room and one suitable dor disabled. Yes it woruld be reserved. It wasn't so more chasing about screens changing things. A friend was also staying (it was a wedding do at the neighbouring cricket club) and they had to change rooms 3 times before finding the right one. The first room already had people in it !
