The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant however the room was very dated and had no aircon. The room was really hot and the bed was really lumpy - not a good nights sleep. |

Only had time to sleep there for one night, but beautiful olde worlde hotel in excellent position if staying in Harrogate. Would like to have had longer as Harrogate seemed very nice for the short time we were there. |

When we checked in we were given a room that was not made up...and this was at 4pm! The receptionist apologised and offered us another room. This room was small and the bathroom was very cramped. The hotel looked quite nice however it seemed full of OAPs on a coach trip. Breakfast was £15 per head so we skipped this. We didn't sleep well and the room was so hot.We switched the radiator off but the pipes running around the skirting board remained boiling hot and we were very uncomfortable during the night. Good location and very close to the centre of Harrogate |

It is a large old hotel, with an atmosphere of past glory. We enjoyed our stay there, though essentially all we did was use the hotel as a base. There room we had was supposedly discounted from £148 to £68; we would have asked for a change of room if we had paid the full price, since it was small and poorly fitted out. It is ideally placed near the centre of Harrogate and in the main we have no real criticisms of the hotel, apart from our relatively small room. There are a number of other hotels in the centre and if we return to Harrogate we would probably try another, just for comparison. |

We booked the hotel at the last minute using Late rooms, and paid £68 for a double room. We booked the room for a Sunday Evening, and my partner and I just wanted a night from home to chill out. |
