Really excellent. This is hospitality as it should be - warm and with great concern about customers really enjoying the experience. It's a place full of character and the room certainly reflected the history of the place in the best possible sense. The atmosphere in the bar and dining room in the evenings was really inviting and it seemed natural to talk to both the owners and other customers. The food hits the spot by being creative, well crafted, varied and generous in its portions. We stuck to the good value 'house' wines which were great and to some extent different, but also recognised some names e.g Vacheron Sancerre that we really enjoy. Breakfast ingredients were also of notably very high quality and we're sure were prepared to order. A quality and relaxing experience in an area of real beauty and with great attractions nearby. |

The restaurant menu was varied and reflected high quality local produce. The dinner and breakfast was excellent. Room very small as was the bed and was probably more suited to single accommodation although it was immaculately decorated. |

A warm welcome from the owners of a spotlessly clean hotel full of lovely rooms with character. We had dinner and breakfast. The food was beautifully cooked using fresh local produce and home made organic bread. Old fashioned values - no coffee maker in the room but delivered on a tray at the time required in a morning. Excellent service. Can't wait to go back |
