A warm welcome. We have stayed here before. Perhaps they had a different chef on this time. Food not so good and one meal had to be returned. Wine list excellent. Room had no shower., but it was a beautiful room with lovely views.Breakfast o.k. but I've had better. Wouldn't want to pay full rate, but would stay again. Faabulous grounds. |

This was the second time that we had stayed at the Egerton Grey and it was as wonderful as the first. We love this hotel - such a friendly, relaxing and comfortable place to be. The rooms, the staff, the food, the setting - everything is magical. Worth a journey to stay there. |

The staff are attentive without being invasive; helpful and friendly. The walk down to Porthkerry Park and the sea, passing beneath the majestic railway viaduct takes about 15 minutes. Stout shoes / boots recommeneded as the path is well-defined but a bit muddy in parts. Food was excellent with a wide choice. True vegetarians may frown at the fish and egg options being listed, but sufficient choice is available. Good wine list ranging from £15 to £105, decent house wines may be bought by the glass. Plenty of parking. Gardens and croquet lawn open to residents are currently being enhanced. Although Wales International Airport is virtually next door, for some reason there is very little disturbance and the flights are infrequent. |

The service and food were impeccable. The communal areas are beautiful - panelled rooms, stairways etc and gorgeous view over breakfast to the viaduct and sea in the distance. We had the last room available which was large and well appointed with period furniture & fittings. Definately recommend. |

Superb hotel, first class food and service and beautiful rooms. Very peaceful setting, despite being very close to the airport; perfect hotel for complete relaxation. Can't wait to return! |
