Took a bus from Reading station as there was no taxis available. They go every 10 minutes, drop you outside the hotel and take 10 minutes to get there...at £1.70 it would be daft to take a cab, however snobby you may be. All very open plan, including the restaraunts. The food was of good quality, although not award winning. Friendly, efficient staff everywhere in hotel. |

Checked in with the minimum fuss, even after late evening arrival. Room service quick and courteous. Asked for a late check out and granted without any issues. The hotel is ideal for away fans (or expat home fans like me) who want to watch Reading Football Club. Parking is provided at the hotel with ample overflow, so no hassle trying to park on match days - but access to town will be delayed if you're not coming to footy and expect a lot of home supporters using the lobby bar and restuarant.. Taxi is £ 8-10 into reading town center as there aren't any bars/restaurants local to the stadium. Park an ride is local to the hotel for the cheapest method of accessing Reading town center. |
