A modern business hotel in rural setting with close proximity to Liverpool Airport and easy access from the M6, M57 and M62. Friendly atmosphere and regular entertainments programme. Visit Liverpool, European capital of culture for 2008, and experience a vibrant city that is really on the up. Within the hotel, the tropical-themed Palms Restaurant, overlooked by the cocktail bar, is a lively venue at lunchtime and throughout the evening with regular weekend entertainment ranging from Cocktail piano music to disco dances and cabaret nights. Menus are a balance of both modern and traditional cuisine, complimented by a comprehensive wine list. Nelsons bar, a traditional oak beamed pub, serves a wide range of drinks in a nautical setting and is a popular venue with locals. We would also like to make guests aware that this is an active hotel on the weekends, catering for weddings and other party functions, often with late bar and disco until 12.30am.

We only had breakfast but there was plenty of it and there was a lot of choice. I obtained a route from the AA on line which was a great help in finding the hotel. Only minor complaint was that our room was too warm and we had to open a window at 2.30 in the morning. The restaurant and bar staff were friendly . Infact everyone was very nice. Widnes is a lovely place with lots of country side and only 20mins from Liverpool. Theres a lovely Tapas bar in Widnes town centre.

the breakfast was excellant,although the orange looking juice was a juice drink and pretty unpleasant. The Bath towels were pretty small as well, other than that a great stay.The local station is Widnes and runs regular trains into Liverpool for lee than £5 return.

This Hotel has seen better days......It needs a refurb and is a little worn at the edges. Pleasant staff but staying at the weekend can be disrupted by very noisy function rooms directly below rooms.
