read the reports about friendly staff and good food that is true but the room in the annex house in grounds was a throw back to the seventies. I wonder if the got the idea for the bedroom in life on mars from room 21, 1970's green wallpaper, green paintwork and 8 inch tv.

Very good views of the sea. Hotel average. Steep , narrow stairs to all rooms.--- 4 flights of stairs, to the 2nd. floor !

Limited parking (and a seemingly rather casual attitude to the problem by the person I asked) - though I did manage to grab a space, once the dinner guests had started leaving. Also, the young male member of staff that I asked for directions to the University (where I had to attend, the following day) tried to be helpful, but his directions were a little confusing: I put it down to his age and lack of experience.

The hotel has good clean rooms in a fantastic spot with unbeatable sea views. There are a lot of stairs if you are in the annexed building. It appeared understaffed at the time and had a feeling of being like a hostel with more luxury than a hotel. As they have the space it would help the staff if breakfast cereal etc was self service. I liked it especially at the laterooms price and would certainly choose it again
