A smart, typical hotel. Not memorable in any way, but an easy, clean, and functional room. |

It was so easy to get to from Kings Cross, tube two stops and cheap by cab [less than £10]. Quick check in and the room was clean and fitted to a high standard. We did not eat there or have breakfast included which suits us anyway.. |

I got this room for £99. It is brilliantly located. Near to Covent Gardens...really near...quiet too. Very nice rooms. Often they offer an upgrade to their five star hotel but I prefer to stay near Covent Garden. This was quite a classy hotel with a big lobby but with a bargain to be had at the right times. Then, with the right price, you feel very privelaged to stay in such a nice hotel. Service was friendly, (maybe a little snooty) but that is the fun of London having grabbed a bargain. Overall, I will stay here again and I just love the location. |

Quality has taken a turn for the worse at Kingsway Hall, previously a top quality hotel. The standard of customer service has dropped - no newspaper was delivered in the morning despite being ordered the night before. The downstairs bar continues to charge luxury prices - an eye-watering £10 for a large (250ml) glass of rioja - yet the quality of the wine was appalling and the atmosphere in the bar is that of a pub evening, with loud football on the television. The barman was uninterested in service, when asked what wines were available he opened the fridge door and invited me to choose one. The good quality of the room did not compensate for this disappointment. |
