The Queen's commands a spectacular position at the top of the tree lined promenade of Cheltenham spa. Built in the 1835 the hotel has a splendid regency facade and features 79 en-suite bedrooms including Four Poster and Executive Feature Rooms.The AA rosette awarded Napier Restaurant & Conservatory combines a traditional atmosphere with a contemporary twist included combinations of classic dished cooked with flare and perfectly complimented with fine wines. This elegant Georgian hotel offers excellent cuisine and high levels of personal service.The Queen's is renowned as a venue for traditional afternoon tea in the lounge, or a cocktail in the famous Gold Cup Bar. Directions to Mercure Queen`s Hotel

The Queen's is at the top of the town centre at the junction of The Promenade and Imperial Square.Exit M5 at Jct11 - the hotel is just over 2 miles from this junction. Follow signs to town centre (A40), you will approach the town along the Landsdown Road and arrive at Montpellier, noted by a pedestrian crossing at roundabout. Take first left into Montpellier Walk, down past the park on your right and you will approach The Queen's on your right after a short row of shops. Get into the right hand turn lane and turn right, the hotel car park is just past the hotel entrance, the barrier lifts automatically when you drive up to it.

The hotel itself is in a great location in cheltenham, and was fine for us as we only stayed one night, not sure I would book here for any longer - just left with the feeling that it wasn't the best value for money around and although we were not here to watch tv when a hotel lists sky on its channels and then doesn't have it as it obviously did not renew its subscription sort of sums up the general attitude of the hotel - use of the hotel carpark was also an additional charge of £5.

The food in the Brasserie was superb. I think this is one of the nicest and well located hotels in Cheltenham, and the fabulous discount from laterooms.com made staying here affordable.

Food ok however, now serving buffet breakfast and the containers albeit they had lids the lids were off so the food was not very warm. Breakfast was much better when served fresh.
