The family room was big enough for all of us - 2 adults and 3 kids and was nicely furnished. Shower was somewhat temperamental, pulsing hot and cold and never really settling but it didn't spoil things at all. Parking was fine and access into York (15 mins by bus) and the coast (45 mins drive) was great. We were made to feel very welcome and the owners were helpful regarding where to go and eat (try the Four Alls down the road on the A64, very nice!) and places to visit. Found it a little expensive but no worse than anywhere else in the York area which seems to be a really pricey place to stay or visit. |

The Proprietor was kind enough to offer to fetch Bread, Milk and Butter to provide breakfast basics, which is clearly beyond what you would expect. The only slight disappointment related to there being insufficient glasses and crockery to cater for the four of us, but we will now be prepared for our next stay |
