Downstairs is a pub with good, reasonably priced food (typical English food; excellent pies); breakfast is good too - £6.50 for continental cold buffet, £4 extra for a cooked breakfast.

Extremely friendly staff. Quiet location (central but not an area for going out). The room was large, clean, and cosy.

Compared to the sterile nastiness of travel lodges etc this was a welcome cosy change. Staff were lovely, rooms were cute and good size, toiletries very nice. It was an all round lovely place. Would stay again and next time I'm trying the pies! All of them!

The room was excellent - clean and a good size. However, struggled to get any reception on their television. The restaurant was very poor and shuts at 9 pm even for residents. The cook to order breakfast was cold and they didn't have a single steak in the kitchen even though there were several steaks offered on the menu.
